Mid-Grade Bows, Priced $350-$599

Mid-grade bows account for the lion's share of bows sold in the United States. These bows often represent the best overall values in the industry, offering a fair blend of high-performance, amenities, and affordability. Mid-grade bows usually have much the same leading edge technologies as the more flashy high-end models, but their prices aren't inflated by excessive marketing and advertising costs. So while the high profile high-end models get all the press, the mid-grade bows quietly do most of the work, both in the pro-shops and in the field.

While most manufacturers would rather sell all their bows as high-end units, the market only tolerates so many high-priced $700+ units. So virtually every manufacturer has mid-grade models to offer (though some offer them reluctantly). Fortunately, there are a few bow companies who specifically focus on this price range rather than engage the "en vogue" brands in the high-end war. For consumers, this means you can get your hands on some really great shooting bows, without spending a small fortune.

A typical field-ready mid-grade bowhunting rig often costs between $600-800, loaded up with everything - still a fair chunk of change. But wise shoppers can get some really good equipment, and a lot of performance for their money with bows in this price range.
