Bow manufacturers know what you want.
They just haven't been able to give it to you. A bow
that's celebrated for its speed is always criticized for its
harsh drawstroke. And a bow that's heralded for being
silky smooth is often criticized for being short on power.
So bow manufacturers are in a pickle. They want to make
buyers happy, but they can't reinvent the laws of physics
either. As a result, today's bow market is littered with
two kinds of speed bows: the speed bows that really do shoot
fast but draw like you're pulling a 1979 Caddy uphill
with a rope, or imposter speed bows which draw smoothly but
actually generate much less horsepower than advertised.
What we're saying is, the smooth-drawing speed bow has
been the proverbial unicorn in the industry. It didn't exist.
That is ... until now. When we previewed the 2010 PSE
line-up, the bow that first caught our attention was the
Vendetta. The drawstroke on the Vendetta felt very soft,
much like the EZ-Draw round single cams we've worked with in the
past. Draw back only a few inches, the stroke peaks, and
it begins slowly letting-off, with no perceptible transition all
the way to full draw. At full draw there's no need to
tense up, the high let-off cam provides a massive valley that
allows you to creep forward several inches before it starts to
reel you back in. At full draw you can't help but think,
"I could hold this all day!"
Absolutely NOTHING about this bow's drawstroke suggests it could
be a speed bow. In fact, we were thinking the Vendetta
might shoot 290 or maybe 300 ... that is until we saw its 330
fps IBO Speed Rating. We scoffed at first. 330?
No way! Since this didn't seem possible ... we fired up
the chronograph to see for ourselves. As our PSE factory
rep, Larry Boring, stood to the side with arms folded and a
little smirk on his face, we started firing arrows through the
chrono. Bamm! 324! ... 325! And that was at
29" draw. We moved the mod to 30". Bamm! 332!
331! 332! We moved the mod again to 26" and really got a
shocker! Bamm! 301! 300! 301! NO FREAKIN' WAY!
Arrows come off this bow like they're launched from the end of a
whip. And the bow is eerily quiet and shock-free too.
OK, forget what we said about the laws of physics.
We surrender! We've been trying to unravel the mystery of
PSE's X-Technologies since their introduction and we would love
to tell you how and why this bow can shoot 330+ on such a soft
drawstroke. But we can't. And maybe it doesn't
matter why. What matters is that the Vendetta XS succeeds
where all others have failed -- by finally giving speed-bow
enthusiasts everything they want -- the best of both
worlds. Here's

 SETUP
Every 2010 PSE X-Force Vendetta XS Package
is
hand-assembled at our Pro-Shop by a qualified archery
professional. Every detail is attended to. The peep
sight is served in place, the nock or loop set is
installed, the draw length and weight is set to your
specifications, all hardware is carefully installed and
properly adjusted, and your arrows are custom built to
suit your particular bow and settings. The string gets
waxed, axles lubricated, and the bow is given a thorough
inspection - top to bottom - for any flaws in
manufacturing.
PAPER
TESTING/TUNING
We actually test-shoot each bow. Every bow is
paper tested by our staff shooters, to ensure that your
arrows will fly like a laser beam when launched from
your new 2010
PSE X-Force Vendetta XS Package.
Adjustments are made as necessary until each arrow tears
a clean "bullet-hole", indicating perfectly level and
straight arrow flight for the best possible accuracy.
We resolve any and all fletching clearance problems and
align each arrow nock for a clean zero-contact launch.
 RANGE
TESTING
Each bow is tested at distance to ensure that arrows
will group tightly. 3-Arrow groups are shot at 15,
25, & 35 yards and measured by our staff shooters.
We use the 25/2 rule. If our staff shooters aren't
grouping 3 arrows into a 2" circle at 25 yards with your
new 2010 PSE
X-Force Vendetta XS Package, then
we retune until the 25/2 rule is met. While variances
in individual shooting form makes exact sighting-in
impossible, we test shoot each bow and rough-set your
top sight pin for a 20 yard shot. This gets your
sight-pins in the "ball-park" so you won't have to start
from scratch - possibly sending an arrow into an
unforgiving neighbor's yard. When you receive your new
bow system, you will just need to make fine adjustments
to the top pin, then finish-up by setting the remaining
pins for the distances you prefer. And if you're new to
the sport, or not so handy with tools and
gadgetry......don't worry. You'll also receive a copy
of our booklet Getting Started with Your Compound Bow
which offers detailed instructions on the sighting-in
procedure as well as helpful maintenance and safety
tips.
 CHRONOGRAPH
TESTING
We know that speed isn't everything, but it is a serious
consideration.
2010 PSE X-Force Vendetta XS Packages
shoot hard and flat, with excellent kinetic energy
(knock-down power). Depending upon the bow's settings,
your 2010 PSE
X-Force Vendetta XS Package
will likely shoot a
measured 284-327 fps once setup with a "loaded" string.
We chronograph each bow to ensure that the actual arrow
velocity is within the expected range. You will receive
a System Statistics report with your new
2010 PSE X-Force Vendetta XS Package. This report will
precisely detail the exact velocity of your arrows,
grain weight and length of the arrows, recommended tip
weights, the exact bow settings, and dozens of other
specs related to your bow system. Keep this sheet for
your reference. If you ever need additional arrows or
want to make changes and adjustments on your bow, you'll
have the original data to refer back to.
  PACKAGING
AND SHIPPING (excluding AK

Each fully assembled
2010 PSE X-Force Vendetta XS Package
is delivered - packed tightly in
the bowcase of your choice. Loose parts, like the
release and broadheads, are all safely tucked inside
too. Once full, the bowcase is boxed and sealed
for safe transport. Your bow system is then
shipped, via FedEx Ground, to your home or business.
A tracking number will be provided to you, so you'll
know when to expect delivery. All packages are
fully insured and require a signature at the point of
delivery.

make changes, upgrade, additions, or subtractions to this package?
A: You sure can. If you would like to "customize" your 2010
PSE Vendetta XS package, please just call our sales desk at 877-410-7811 and
one of our specialists will be happy to help you make any changes you
like.
Q: When will my bow package arrive?
A: To most locations in the continental United States, the
safe answer is 7 to 10 business days. Please note that
business days are not calendar days. We put a considerable amount of care and labor into
every Ready-to-Hunt™ bow package, as we want to make sure we get it
right the FIRST time. So if you're not willing to wait for work to
be properly performed, we ask that you not order a Ready-to-Hunt™
Bow Package. We don't perform rushed-quality workmanship under any
circumstances. However, we realize you're anxious to get
your order and begin shooting. So we work hard to make sure our bow systems are built and shipped within
5 business days
of your order (most ship within 2-3 days). Once completed and shipped, most
systems will then be delivered via FedEx Ground within 1-5 business days
(delivery time will vary by location of course). Please allow 1-2 days extra time
