We had a chance to preview the 2012 PSE line-up in October of 2011.  We shot every bow in the line, from the $299 Rally to the $949 X-Force Omen.  Clearly this was the most impressive PSE line-up we've ever tested - and we selected a number of new 2012 bows for our Ready-to-Hunt™ bow package program.  But the bow we all kept talking about - the bow we kept going back to again and again - was the Brute X. 

We didn't expect this mid-priced bow to be anything special, but the Brute X was decidedly, and surprisingly, the quietest and smoothest bow in the line.  We simply couldn't stop raving about it.  When we fired the Brute X, it just uttered a soft "chick."  No hand-shock.  No forward limb thrust.  No vibrations.  This bow is supposed to be a money saver, but it performs like a refined flagship bow.

If you're not familiar with PSE's lingo, the "X" refers to PSE's patented X-Technologies, the same technologies which launched the X-Force led speed revolution in 2007.  It's been a few years coming, but the the X-Force DNA has gradually spread throughout the line - and what said DNA did for the Brute X is simply amazing.  The old Brutes were good, but the all new Brute X is a completely different animal.  This bow is world class good!
