The phrase "speed bow" is practically a derogatory term in the industry.  Super-fast bows have been around for a while now, but most of them still suffer from the same old handicaps ... they're tough to draw back, they feel terrible at full draw, they're noisy, and they just aren't enjoyable to shoot.  So while a big IBO Speed seems like a good idea at first, the experience of owning a speed bow always seems to fall short.

Not so with the Revenge!  By dramatically increasing limb efficiencies, PSE has been able to build ultra-fast bows without the need for harsh drawstrokes and quick valleys ... and the new 2012 Revenge is the perfect example.  When you draw this bow back, there's no big "hump" or "lobeover," no twitchy "catch" at full draw.  If you didn't know better, you would think you were drawing back a big round single cam.  There's no drama as you smoothly touch down at full draw.  There's plenty of let-off.  The thought "I could hold this all day" runs through your head.  How nice.  How civilized.

This is - until you touch the trigger.  The Revenge unleashes an unexpectedly barbaric downrange thump.  But since the Revenge has so little noise and recoil, you don't really realize how brutal the bow is until you hear the alarming "POP" arrows make when they slam into the target at 340 fps.  And you'll watch in amazement as 90 ft-lbs of KE drives your arrows down to the fletching and rocks your block target back on its haunches.  Heaven help anything that gets in the way of the Revenge.  Say good-bye to the old handicaps and stereotypes.  This is a whole different kind of bow.  If you're looking for a lethal treestand specialist ... this is it.
