UNIVERSAL FIT: Universal fit compound bows have been all the rage lately. They're affordable, easy to shoot and they serve almost any role: from primary adult bowhunting rigs - to starter bows for small kids and everything in between. They don't require any special tools or know-how either. If you can turn a hex wrench, you can easily adjust this style of bow yourself. As a result, this class of bow has broad market appeal.

ALL THAT, AND A BAG OF POTATO CHIPS: A few years ago Diamond introduced the world to an incredible little bow named the Infinite Edge. The Infinite Edge literally changed the very way manufactures designed their bows from that point on, and it was all thanks to the unbelievable adjust-ability the Infinite Edge offered shooters. Finally! A bow that could actually fit ANYONE had officially been born. As time went on Diamond continued to improve on the design of the Infinite Edge and now, fast forward a few years, we have been given the fruits of their labor. They named it the Edge SB1 and it is far from a clone of the original prodouct. On paper the Edge SB1 seems like the Infinite Edge on steroids but it still somehow manages to feel like a completely new design all together. Compared to the Infinite Edge the SB1 is smoother, faster, quieter, sleeker, even more user friendly, more comfortable and extraordinarily accurate, no matter what specs you may have it set to. These improvements are thanks to the decision to upgrade from a hybrid cam system, to the new "Synchronized Binary" cam system - hence the SB in SB1. The new cam system has eliminated any possibility of timing issues all together. The Edge SB1 has even managed to make the process of adjusting weight and draw length even faster and easier than before. Don't be fooled by the adjustment range on this bow. Just because it can handle lower weights and draw lengths does not make it "just a youth bow" by any definition. The ability to adjust the draw weight as low as you could possibly need is a handy feature for adult hunters too, especially for tree stand hunters on those ridiculously cold mornings during bow season. The Edge SB1 is actually one of the most well balanced hunting bows on the market today, for anyone, of any age or skill level.

core elements compound bow service programMORE THAN JUST A "BARE" BOW ... A raw factory-boxed compound bow is commonly called a "bare" bow (not to be confused with a "Bear" bow - as in Bear Archery Products). Most archery e-tailers sell these bare bows directly to consumers as is, but we think that's a lazy and irresponsible way to distribute archery equipment. We hate to tell you this, but it is VERY common to unbox a new "bare" bow and find significant cam lean, loose fasteners, uneven limb tiller, poor cam timing, axles spaced incorrectly, improperly set draw-stop pegs, unset cable clearances, unchased mounting holes, cables crossed on the wrong side, etc. A bow that's dead nuts perfect right out of a box is fairly rare, from ANY brand. This doesn't mean compound bows are bad quality products, they just need some individual attention and competent technical setup before they're put into service. So when ecommerce archery resellers try to sell factory-boxed compound bows as "no touch" merchandise, it often results in poor customer satisfaction rates and mediocre field performance (or worse).

CORE ELEMENTS SERVICE ... We don't sell raw bows like that. After 16 years in the business, we've learned it's a guaranteed recipe for failure. We just won't do it. Fortunately, we have a fully-equipped archery pro-shop and we have a MUCH better method. You're going to love this. When you buy a "bare" bow at Hunter's Friend, you get something you won't find any any other ecommerce archery retailer ... real technical service. Best of all, it won't cost you a dime extra. We feel that strongly about it. We want you to be happy and successful with your new bow, so this isn't just lip service. We're putting our money where our mouth is. Every "bare" compound bow comes with a FREE ARROW REST and our complimentary Core Elements service:

  • Containment-Style Arrow Rest (installed)
  • Apex 3-Pin Sight (installed)
  • Octane Deadlock Lite 5 Arrow Quiver (installed)
  • Octane Stabilizer (installed)
  • Diamond Wrist Sling W/Grommet (installed)
  • Draw Weight Adjustments
  • Draw Length Adjustments
  • Let-Off Adjustments (if equipped)
  • Peep Sight Installation
  • String Loop/Nocking Point (installed)
  • Paper-Tuning/Flight-Tuning
  • Chronograph & KE Report
  • Arrow Spine Matching Report
  • All Technical Alignments
WE'LL SET IT UP, YOU KNOCK IT DOWN ... When you receive the bow, all that's left to do is install your sight, quiver, stabilizer and other accessories, then grab your arrows and go sight it in. We take care of all the technical tasks and hassles in advance: the bow press operations, module changes, managing specialty fasteners, serving string jobs, cinching string loop knots, setting cam timing, debugging noises, etc. We take care of it all. When you get the bow, the technical problems are already solved. Done! So when you start shooting your new bow, you won't be fighting tuning or setup issues. Your arrows will actually fly straight. Your cams will actually be in time. Your bow will actually be performing as it was designed to perform. That's a recipe for a good experience, and frankly, it's just the right thing to do.
