SPECIAL NOTE: Due to the unique shape and length of the Penetrator inserts, all Victory VAP custom arrows will be trimmed at shaft length (not including or considering the insert). For example, if you order your arrows at 29 inches, we will measure from the groove of the arrow nock to a point 29" down the shaft - and trim there. We WILL NOT include the length of the insert in our measurement - which is different than normal AMO standards. However, the Penetrator insert is unique - functioning as both an insert and a tapered tip adapter. So we cannot include its length as part of the arrow's AMO length. As a result, your finished arrow will be approximately 1" LONGER than normal. If you have questions, please call us at 877-410-7811 before ordering this product. Custom arrows cannot be returned once fletched and/or cut.

EVERY ARROW HAND BUILT Hand-building arrows allows us do things our big-box competitors cannot. Every raw shaft and its components are checked for flaws in manufacturing before assembly, every shaft gets properly prepped, and every fletch is hand-checked for proper adhesion. Then all nocks are properly aligned and each arrow is trimmed to your specifications on one of our 8,000 rpm high-speed arrow saws. We then install your inserts, practice tips, and clean the arrows to remove any oils or glue residues, then box your arrow set for safe transport. When your custom arrows arrive, they are 100% ready-to-shoot. EVERY ARROW IS FIELD READY Don't be fooled by the so-called "arrows" offered at big-box stores. They are NOT finished arrows. Big-box "arrows" are simply full length raw shafts which have been machine-fletched with the cheapest available materials. They are certainly NOT ready for field use and their quality cannot compare with hand-built customs. In addition, we weigh and document every arrow set we build. Every completed arrow set comes with our exclusive arrow certification card, which details the exact finished weight and specs of your arrows. Should you ever need replacements, you'll have your original arrow specifications handy. If you haven't tried a set of matched custom arrows before, we think you'll be impressed from the very first shot. WORK DONE JUST FOR YOU Custom arrows are BUILT AND CUT TO YOUR ACTUAL ORDER SPECIFICATIONS and cannot be returned to stock. Once fletched, inserted, or trimmed to length, custom arrow orders cannot be cancelled, returned, or exchanged - except in rare cases of manufacturer defects or shop-errors while building the order. So be sure of your specifications before ordering. Once a custom set of arrows is built JUST FOR YOU, they're yours. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? WHEN WILL I GET MY ARROWS? To most locations in the continental United States, the safe answer is 7 to 10 business days. Please note that business days are not calendar days. We put a considerable amount of care and labor into every arrow set, as we want to make sure we get them right the FIRST time. So if you're not willing to wait for work to be properly performed, we ask that you not order our custom arrows. We don't perform rushed-quality workmanship under any circumstances. However, we realize you're anxious to get your order and begin shooting. So we work hard to make sure custom arrow orders are built and shipped within 1-5 business days of your order. Once completed and shipped, orders will then be delivered via FedEx Ground a few business days thereafter (delivery time will vary by location of course). Please allow 1-2 days extra time during peak season (August -Sept). Once your order ships, you will receive a FedEx tracking number via email. THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BIG-BOX ABOUT IT!

WHY ACCEPT LESS?: Seems you can always spot the guys who order their arrows from a big-box store - the hazy machine-sprayed glue, the hacksaw-trimmed shaft ends, the sloppy vane spacing, practice tips that don't match the shaft diameter, etc. Why do they do it? You don't really save money when you buy mass-produced prefletch arrows. In fact, you're usually getting a lot less for your money - less quality, less performance, less consistency, & less success in the field. The fact is, when it comes to making arrows, a machine just can't do what a skilled human being can.

UNFINISHED WORK: If that wasn't bad enough, buying big-box prefletch arrows offers another technical challenge. The arrows are not trimmed to fit your bow. Most arrows come from the factory in full 30-33" uncut stock lengths. If you order arrows from a big-box store, that's exactly what you'll get, and it will be up to you to trim the arrows to length and install the inserts. And trimming high-density carbon arrows is one job that does require a special machine - if you want the job done right.

NOT OUR ARROWS: When you buy your arrows from Hunter's Friend, we include professional shaft trimming and insert installation free of charge. So when your arrows arrive, they're the correct length AND they're 100% ready-to-shoot. Every arrow we sell also comes with practice tips (field points) installed. You choose the grain weight you prefer and we match the diameters to your shafts. So when you receive your arrows from Hunter's Friend, there's nothing else for you to buy or install. This is NOT true of big-box arrows. Big-box arrows just come with a little bag of inserts (loose) and no tips. So if you buy a dozen big-box arrows, expect to pay another $4-8 for practice tips too. When you start comparing prices, don't forget to account for the practice ammo.

COMPARE AND SAVE: We invite you to compare. We might not always be the cheapest out there. But we're very competitive - even against the big-box machine-fletched mass production arrows. In most cases, we beat the pants off the big-box stores, and we offer things they simply cannot - like quality and choice. Remember, big-box sporting goods stores do not focus on archery. The bulk of their profits come from imported hunting clothing (the reason the first 50 pages of their catalogs are exclusively clothing items). Archery is just a seasonal side-dish for the big-box stores. But here at Hunter's Friend, archery is ALL we do. Of course we do it better than the big-boxes. Give us a chance and we'll show you.
