RECOMMENDATIONS:  This isn't a category you might expect to find in our shoot-out, but we feel it's one of the most important tests.  When it comes to the business of selecting and purchasing a new compound bow, a solid recommendation from a friend or trusted pro-shop is a major influencing factor.  We talk to thousands of bowhunters every season, and the most common questions we get are "What bow do you shoot?" and "Do you think (insert bow company name here) are good bows?".  A surprising number of customers, particularly new bowhunters, choose their bows based strongly upon a pro-shop's recommendation or the recommendation of a friend.  So every bow manufacturer should be explicitly concerned about how well their bows are thought-of and how highly pro-shops and previous owners recommend their products to others.

This also gives us an effective summary for our guest-judges' opinions.  Thus far, we've restricted their judgments to specific categories and elements of shooting.  Each guest-judge has now had an opportunity to inspect, feel, shoot, and evaluate our two test bows rather thoroughly.  So we're confident they'll each have a strong summary opinion to offer on each of our test bows.  We cut right to the chase and asked each guest-judge 5 direct questions.  The first 4 are yes/no only and the 5th asked them to choose "the better bow".  Let's see what our judges had to say in the summary recommendations category.  We'll add up the positive responses at the end and determine a winner for round #12.
