Martin Pantera Magnum
We spent an entire
afternoon at this year's ATA Show evaluating the new Martin
bows, and we all kept coming back to the Pantera Magnum.
To be honest, our crew is rather snobbish about bows.
We're always nit-picking something ... price ranges, cam
aggression, feel & features - too much of this, too little
of that - etc. But in spite of our best efforts to
sully Martin's new wares, the Pantera Magnum was the one bow
we simply couldn't tarnish.
The Pantera Magnum is reasonably priced, it's quick, quiet,
and recoil-free. And it's a gorgeous bow with all the
premium features we wanted, without the dangly add-ons and
gadgets we love to hate. Not to directly quote a fairy
tale, but this one is just right.
The Pantera Mag has a unique (and very comfortable) leather
grip, sleek pivoting limb pockets, a rubber arrow shelf pad,
a carbon rod string suppressor, and noise/vibration
dampeners integrated into the riser. The craftsmanship is
outstanding. But Martin clinched the deal with the Fury XT
cam system that allows two different buss-cable anchor
points. So this one bow has 25 lbs. of draw weight
adjustment - without a limb change.
