What if? What if there was a way to take all of the raw power you have come to love about Obsession Bows, and form fit it into a perfect, ground blind ready, tree stand friendly, shorter axle to axle, hunting machine? Think about that for a second! Speeds of up to 360 FPS IBO, a smooth draw stroke which is beyond compare, a 6" brace height and enough kinetic energy output to hunt anything on the planet, all contained in a 30" axle to axle rig. There was a time when this would be impossible but we live in the future now ladies and gentlemen! So Guess, what? Its already here! The new Obsession FX30 is a marvel. Obsession has taken all the speed/power/accuracy of their best bows and put it all into a lean, mean hunting machine.

Looking at the FX30, we see so many things that we have already come to love about Obsession Bows. To be honest, at this point I feel like a broken record when I say this, Obsession really does have a talent for making bows that are on another level.  Obsession packs their bows to the teeth with unique features, such as, blistering fast IBO speeds, the sleekest of sleek designs, and most impressive of all, the unusually smooth draw stroke on these lightning fast bows. I could go on about all of those things and more for hours, but I wont here, not this time. Although the Obsession FX30 is capable of all that and more, I wanted to highlight our favorite aspect about the FX30!

The FX30 has an axle to axle length of only 30". This shorter A2A length makes it the perfect choice for even the toughest of hunting terrains. If you live in an area where the bush grows thick, and the paths are small, then you know all too well how helpful a shorter bow can be when it comes to getting through the woods. Tree stand hunting, ground blind hunting, stalking? No matter how you hunt, there are benefits to a shorter bow. The shorter axle to axle also allows for the overall mass of the bow to be less, in this case the bow itself is only 4#. The FX30 is not the first 30" bow, but it is certainly the one that packs an incredible punch into the smaller frame!  If speed/power is what you are after and you are tired of not having enough room in your ground blind then there is no better choice.

Lets not overlook the cosmetics of this one! The Desert Tan, or "sand", finish is a nice touch and has always been one of our number one most requested special order finishes. The "Desert Tan" really allows for the sleek design of this bow to shine through. Like I said earlier, it is not unusual for Obsession to pump out awesome bows, BUT, being able to fit all of that "Obsession magic" into such a compact package is an impressive accomplishment. The FX30 may be a shorter bow but its 360 FPS IBO is nothing to short of amazing. the FX30 is just one more reason why I am proud to be an Obsession archery fanboy! This is a high-end bow that truly earns every single penny of it's price tag, and then some. If you honestly thought that modern compound bows could not get any better than they already had, we have some news for you....SPOILER ALERT..... they just did... BIG TIME!  Here's proof - a guaranteed top-pick for 2019. The Obsession FX30, in stock now and ready for immediate setup.
A raw factory-boxed compound bow is commonly called a "bare" bow (not to be confused with a "Bear" bow - as in Bear Archery Products). Most archery e-tailers sell these bare bows directly to consumers as is, but we think that's a lazy and irresponsible way to distribute archery equipment. We hate to tell you this, but it is VERY common to unbox a new "bare" bow and find significant cam lean, loose fasteners, uneven limb tiller, poor cam timing, axles spaced incorrectly, improperly set draw-stop pegs, unset cable clearances, unchased mounting holes, cables crossed on the wrong side, etc. A bow that's dead nuts perfect right out of a box is fairly rare, from ANY brand. This doesn't mean compound bows are bad quality products, they just need some individual attention and competent technical setup before they're put into service. So when ecommerce archery resellers try to sell factory-boxed compound bows as "no touch" merchandise, it often results in poor customer satisfaction rates and mediocre field performance (or worse). e.
We don't sell raw bows like that. After 17 years in the business, we've learned it's a guaranteed recipe for failure. We just won't do it. Fortunately, we have a fully-equipped archery pro-shop and we have a MUCH better method. You're going to love this. When you buy a "bare" bow at Hunter's Friend, you get something you won't find at any other e-commerce archery retailer ... real technical service. Best of all, it won't cost you a dime extra. We feel that strongly about it. We want you to be happy and successful with your new bow, so this isn't just lip service. We're putting our money where our mouth is. Every "bare" compound bow comes with a FREE ARROW REST, PEEP SIGHT, AND STRING LOOP, along with our complimentary round of key services:

  • Containment-Style Arrow Rest (installed)
  • Draw Weight Adjustments
  • Draw Length Adjustments
  • Let-Off Adjustments (if equipped)
  • Peep Sight Installation
  • String Loop/Nocking Point (installed)
  • Paper-Tuning/Flight-Tuning
  • Chronograph & KE Report
  • Arrow Spine Matching Report
  • All Technical Alignments
When you receive the bow, all that's left to do is install your sight, quiver, stabilizer and other accessories, then grab your arrows and go sight it in. We take care of all the technical tasks and hassles in advance: the bow press operations, module changes, managing specialty fasteners, serving string jobs, cinching string loop knots, setting cam timing, debugging noises, etc. We take care of it all. When you get the bow, the technical problems are already solved. Done! So when you start shooting your new bow, you won't be fighting tuning or setup issues. Your arrows will actually fly straight. Your cams will actually be in time. Your bow will actually be performing as it was designed to perform. That's a recipe for a good experience, and frankly, it's just the right thing to do. If you choose, we will even install your accessories for you. It's up to you.
